LaunchHive Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 16, 2026

This page explains how LaunchHive handles information for the LaunchHive website and the LaunchHive Companion Chrome extension. It is written to be plain-English and useful for makers, visitors, and Chrome Web Store reviewers.

Short version

  • LaunchHive uses information you provide to run product launches and community features.
  • The Chrome extension only reads the active tab title and URL when you ask it to submit that page.
  • We do not sell personal information.
  • Payments are handled by payment processors; LaunchHive does not store full card numbers.

What LaunchHive Is

LaunchHive is a launch community for SaaS, apps, indie products, backlink discovery, startup deals, community posts, and related maker tools.

This policy covers launchhive.io and the LaunchHive Companion Chrome extension.

Information We Collect

Account information, such as your email address, name, avatar, authentication provider details, and session information when you sign in.

Product and submission information you provide, such as product names, URLs, descriptions, categories, logos, screenshots, launch notes, community posts, backlink listings, marketplace listings, and related public profile content.

Payment and subscription status from payment processors such as Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on LaunchHive servers.

Operational information, such as server logs, security events, device/browser metadata, IP address, request paths, and timestamps, used to keep the service secure and reliable.

Analytics information when analytics tools are configured, such as page views, referrers, feature usage, and approximate device/browser data.

Chrome Extension Privacy

The LaunchHive Companion extension does not create its own account, does not track browsing history, and does not sell or share user data.

When you choose to submit the current tab, the extension reads the active tab title and URL so it can open LaunchHive with those fields pre-filled.

The extension may request LaunchHive public ranking data from launchhive.io to show trending launches in the toolbar popup.

Right-click submission actions use the page or link URL you select and send you to LaunchHive. The extension does not store this information locally or transmit it anywhere other than launchhive.io as part of the action you requested.

How We Use Information

To operate LaunchHive features, including submissions, rankings, voting, badges, backlinks, community, marketplace, deals, Pro membership, and account access.

To review and moderate submissions, prevent spam or abuse, enforce terms, protect the platform, and debug service issues.

To process payments, manage entitlements, send transactional emails, and respond to support requests.

To understand aggregate product usage and improve LaunchHive.

Public Content

Product pages, launch submissions, badges, rankings, community posts, backlink listings, marketplace listings, maker names, and other submitted content may be displayed publicly.

Only submit information that you are comfortable making public or that you have permission to publish.

Service Providers

We may use trusted providers for hosting, database infrastructure, authentication, payments, email delivery, analytics, monitoring, and abuse prevention.

These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to LaunchHive.

Cookies And Similar Technologies

LaunchHive may use cookies or local storage for authentication sessions, preferences, analytics, fraud prevention, and product functionality.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some account or security features may stop working if required cookies are blocked.

Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide LaunchHive, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce agreements.

Public submissions and community content may remain available unless removed by you or by LaunchHive moderation.

Your Choices

You can choose not to create an account, not to submit content, or not to install the Chrome extension.

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information by contacting us. Some records may be retained where required for legal, security, billing, or abuse-prevention reasons.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No internet service can guarantee perfect security.

If you believe you have found a security issue, please contact us promptly.

Children

LaunchHive is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy as LaunchHive changes. The updated date above shows when this page was last revised.
